Historic Living for Active Seniors in Downtown Gainesville
Turner Apartments was originally built in in the late 1800's as the Turner Hotel. The old building was demolished in 1927 to make way for the new six-story all brick Turner Hotel. The building was completely renovated in 1981 as Turner Apartments and the rooms were converted into 48 apartments.
Turner Apartments is a non-smoking complex - in the units as well as inside common areas - with designated smoking areas outside. The apartments are for mature singles/couples age 62 and over who are looking for a comfortable place to live as well as the convenience of living in Downtown Gainesville.
Each of the 48 apartments offers a nice living space with bedroom, bath and kitchen. Each floor is beautifully decorated in keeping with the architectural period, including a lobby which is a lovely place to socialize with others.
The Turner Apartments offers a unique opportunity for worry free living in one of Gainesville’s most historic buildings.
